"Principles of my work are
Clearness, Simplicity, Reduction and severe composition, and mostly a timeless and placeless character.
My photographic access corresponds to the nature of photography: To be dependent on light and an outside world to capture it. I don‘t create the objects myself.
I‘m looking for interesting places, structures and forms in the environment to make my photos from them.
I find these while travelling - most of the pictures are taken in Central and Eastern Europe.
So on the one hand all the photos are a direct picture of the not-influenced objective reality, but on the other hand very subjective and artificial, because of the individual perspective and postproduction. This artificial influence is not too strong to let the viewer know. But the photos drift between real and artificial, always with the aim to give the spectator enough space for his own interpretation. It is important for me, to give the pictures a visual appearence and style - during the process of taking them and also in postproduction - that suits the object and its spirit. It is always a trial, sometimes a failure. But if it was not, one has reached the destination and could stop. So the quest goes on ad infinitum".
